Events and Activities
Southern
District Camps
Koerner Heights Church is a part of the Southern District
of Mennonite Brethren Churches. This larger church family believes strongly
in ministry to youth especially through camps. Each summer three camps are
held in separate locations for different age groups. The following is a list
of the what, who, when and where of summer camps:
-
Sr.
High Camp (9th-12th Grades) – June 1-6, 2003, at Silver
Cliff Ranch, near Buena Vista, CO
-
Silver
Cliff Ranch offers a great mountain setting to enjoy a great camp experience.
Join more than two hundred other students from Colorado, Kansas and
Oklahoma for a week of inspiring worship, powerful speakers, close friendships
and fun activities.

Jr. High
Camp (7th-8th Grades) – July 2-6, 2003, at New Life
Ranch, near Siloam Springs, AR
-
New
Life Ranch set in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains is filled with
fun things to do and a great place to meet new friends and have fun
with old ones. Jr. High Camp is filled with fun games, crazy counselors
and great speakers. You won't want to miss this!

Jr. Camp
(4th-6th Grades) – June 17-21, 2003, at Tabor College,
Hillsboro, KS
-
Jr. Camp
offers those who have completed fourth, fifth and sixth grades the opportunity
to experience camp along with 350 other students. Every year campers
leave saying it was the best time of their summer. With lots of counselors
(who are even more crazy than the Jr. High Counselors!), organized activities
and recreation opportunities, funny and exciting speakers and great
food, Jr. Camp offers a safe and exciting place for students to learn
about God and spend a week with other students their age.

Southern
District Youth Conference
Each Fall students from Colorado, Kansas
and Oklahoma gather for a weekend of celebration worship, challenging Bible
teaching and of course a lot of fun. Check it out this year just down the
road in Wichita. SDYC will be November 21-23, 2003 at First Mennonite Brethren
Church in Wichita, KS. Join the “Journey.”
15/15
Challenge
Challenging Koerner Heights Church to
send 15 students and 15 adults or families into a week of service or mission
this summer. Students have a variety of options at their disposal. We currently
have individuals and groups going with Youth Mission International, Mennonite
Brethren Missions and Services, Teen Missions International and some independent
trips as well.
Estes
2003
Every four years MB youth from across
the United States gather at the YMCA of the Rockies Conference Center for
four days of intense worship, explosive speakers and a lot of fun. Four years
has come back around again and in March we will head to Estes for “The Call-
Estes 2003.”
